Lost Puddle Jumper Review March 14, 2015 – Tags: , , ,

If you are reading this then there is a good chance you are trying to see if the hype around the Lost Puddle Jumper is legitimate? In a nutshell i would say yes, depending on what you are looking for. The Puddle Jumper is similar in shape & appearance as other Lost models, the Bottom Feeder & Lay Z Toy or Boy. The main difference being the responsiveness when turning.
I took this board out in one foot Sunshine Coast rubbish, on a day that i would normally not bother or go for a swim I have to say that i had a ball. Paddling in was easy, which is no surprise considering the other models i compared the Puddle Jumper too. Once i was up & trimming on the tiny wall that i had, i noticed this board wanted to turn! A nice little slash that I would have been happy with on a 3 foot wave & a fun little slide off a foamy end section & this wave was barely one foot! This went on for the rest of the late afternoon session & i have to say it was a breath of fresh air to some other small wave models i have ridden.
If i had to give any downside it would probably be that over 1 – 2 foot i would leave it in the rack, but that is how it usually works, you can ride it 4 – 8 inches shorter than your regular board. Take it out in anything that you would normally not bother in & over 2 foot go back to your normal board as staying on a board like the Puddle Jumper for too long will cause a bit of havoc for your 4 foot plus surfing.
