First up, if you got the email about the Portugal contest & it had the France picks in there, very sorry about that! Have a new system which i'm learning & whilst it is going to be better in the long run I am not the most tech savvy user haha! Now, on to the picks, the first tier I have Julian Wilson, what a win in France & putting him back in the conversation, our last Aussie hope for 2018. My second pick is Gabriel Medina if it gets solid & perfect in Portugal expect Gabby to be getting spat out of a few when it matters.
Already at the Quik Pro stop in France. Hard to say whether the waves are going to be good, but they are dealing with an ordinary run of waves leading up to this time but apparently plenty of sand at La Graviere, which is the usual contest site, so fingers crossed for some chunky french nuggets!
Madness to think we are only a few months away from crowning another Surfing World Champion! It has seriously been a funny old year. Snapper was absolutely ordinary at best, same as most of the other contests with flashes of perfection here & there. The question has risen again though, who is going to be world champ. Apparently not Freddy Pattachia who belted out a ten in his round one heat at Trestles the other morning came in & called it quits, what a way to go out!
Sun. Surf. Girls. Nudity. Beer. Thats all there really is to describe Hossegor, not bad in my books, not bad in yours. Hossegor was also the place where the infamous FRANKIE would joining us. The south of France and Hossegor in particular is mine and most of the boys favourite place on this entire leg. It has the funnest surf, the warmest water and the hottest girls. Not to mention the contest site with free beer, or the free Goons of Doom concert, its just completely free FUN.
