The Aipa Surfboards brand is a fusion of a genuine surf legacy. Ben Aipa is surfing royalty. In 1968 Fred Hemmings won the World Championship on Aipa shape. It was not long after this in 1970 that Ben Aipa started his label Aipa Surfboards.

Ben invented the double edge swallow tail in 1972 & followed this with the split tail design in 1974. Ben has trained, coached & or shaped for, surfers such as Michael Ho, Larry Bertleman, Mark Liddell, Sunny Garcia, Kalani Robb & Brad Gerlach.
