Ocean Earth Apex Boardbag review October 15, 2024 – Tags: Boardbag review
The Ocean Earth Apex Boardbag review. There has been a lot of hype about the Apex board bags. Here we check out the features & if they live up to the hype.
Ocean Earth Apex Boardbag review –
The first thing that stuck out to me was the XPS standing for extra protection system. This is an outer shell that protects boards from impact. Located on the nose, tail & rails. I had heard of people wanting to do this in the board bag space. But have never seen it done. This is the most profound feature of the Apex bag range in my opinion.
Some more features –
The custom wheel system is a new feature on the Apex wheelie bags. These wheels are a very durable inline bearing system. Positioned to be dragged or stood up & wheeled in tighter spaces like lifts. It has all the other things you would expect. Such as skid plate, comfy straps, padded fin pouch & heavy duty lockable zips for added security.
Summary –
There is a lot of travel bags on the market. Most brands that take it on are doing a great job in the bag space. I would say the Apex is a little different to anything I have seen. The main reason being the extra protection system. A hard shell board cover is a bit of a game changer. They are priced in the high range for board bags. It is relative to the cost of boards these days & if you are looking for that extra protection. Then this is the answer.
