The Slide Surfskate Gussie review. So you want to know how one of these rides ? Speaking from experience they go like crazy. We have been selling Slide for heading towards 10 years now. I have a Gussie model myself.
Slide Surfskate Gussie Review –
At 31″ they are smaller than most of the other models in the Slide range. With that being said. It is described as a board that is great for beginners or intermediates. Which is true. But I would argue that it is a great board for anyone who wants to try a surfskate.
The board above is the model I ride. The Gussie Spot x. There is multiple Gussie models. All are identical in shape & design but are different colours, depending on the name. I have had my Spot x for a couple of years now & it is the most fun I have ever had on a skateboard.
How does it ride –
With the surface area throughout, I can see why guys call it a beginner model. But the board is a little bit squashed, making it equivalent to a performance fish. You can really throw the Gussie around, but they do feel nice & stable under your feet also. Which is nice when you are taking on swooping speed runs.
Summary –
I actually love this model. It was the perfect introduction into surfskates for me. So I would recommend one to any surfer or not, who wants to have a go!
